URA Finals Optimal Strategy
Overview
The URA Finals is the standard game mode. The goal is to win the URA Finals race at the end of the 3-year term. To do this, you must meet fan count quotas and win objective races along the way.
Key Phases
Year 1: Bond Building
Focus entirely on raising bond gauges (orange bar) with your support cards. Chase the crowd of support cards in training. Ignore specific stat types unless they have 3+ members.
Year 2: Friendship Training
Once bonds are orange, "Rainbow" training appears. Hit these whenever possible. This is where your stats skyrocket. Participate in G1 races for skill points and fans.
Year 3: Optimization
Fix your weak stats. If your Stamina is low for the final race, train it now. Participate in the URA Finals and spend all your skill points before the final race.
Common Mistakes
- Ignoring Fan Count: You need fans to upgrade your unique skill level. Race in G1s like the Japan Cup or Arima Kinen even if they aren't objectives.
- Over-resting: Use Wisdom training to regain small amounts of vitality instead of resting if you are just slightly below full energy. usage of 'Tazuna' or 'Date' events is usually better than 'Rest'.
- Hoarding Skill Points: Don't buy skills too early (unless you need them to win), but don't hold them forever. Hints make skills cheaper, so wait for hints if you can.
